My name is Roxana Gestermann, but people simply call me Roxi.
I am 28 years old and from Landsberg am Lech, a small city in southern Germany.
I enjoy travelling, love discovering new places and landscapes, being out and about in nature, meeting new people, listening to their life stories and simply having a good time together.
And I very much enjoy photography!
During my first backpacking trip to Morocco in 2008 a friend of mine introduced me to black and white analog photography and I was very much fascinated by it.
Ever since then at home or on my travels my camera is my most favorite companion.
After a couple of years travelling around Australia, Central America and parts of Asia, I took on full time studies in Photography at Bexley College in London. Over the period of two years I got an insight into the diversity of photography and was able to acquire a wide spectrum of industry-specific skills.
I don't concentrate only on a particular area of photography, which makes me very flexible in my work. I always like a challenge and together with my creativity I like to implement my ideas.
In my digital work I often focus on strong colors, but with my film camera I mainly shoot on black and white film.
So this is me :) - Enjoy exploring!
If you have any questions about my work or you would like to give me feedback, please feel free to contact me through my webpage. I am looking forward to hear from you!
Many greetings
Roxi :)
